After 34 years of drought, Girondins de Bordeaux finally became French champions again in 1984!

This came after a battle with AS Monaco that was only decided on goal difference. The legendary Girondins team included Bernard Lacombe (18 goals), Dieter Müller (14 goals) and Alain Giresse, who dominated the French championship (16 goals).
